The rijksmuseum is a dutch national museum dedicated to arts and history in Amsterdam. The museum is located at the Museum square in the borough Amsterdam south. The museum was founded in The hague in 1800 and moved to Amsterdam in 1809. .

The Golden bend is a street with typical houses, they are build in the fourth expension of the city. The golden bend is officialy expension of the herensraat. The houses are made of marmet, have big doors and high and small windows. The houses were so expensive that only the richest amsterdammers could pay for this houses. The houses are so expensive that now a days normal families can&acute;t pay the houses so the houses are now used by companies.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Golden Bend

Amsterdam counts around 250 old canal bridges. This is created by the expansion of the city along the banks of the amstel. This made the role of the water in the mid-19th century more important than the land. the amstel was a way to transport things (jewels) and the water defensed the city. The water is linked with the city. Amsterdam is also called North venice because of the 250 old bridges.

The seven briches

The nationaal monument on the dam is a monument to commemorate the second world war in the Netherlands. Every year on 4 mai people place floral wreaths at the monument. After that everyone in the Netherlands are silence for a minute to think about the second world war.
