Once you leave the Bleikeller (lead cellar), please pay a visit to the bible garden on the South-side of the dome. A statue of Jacob the Eldest is located in this peaceful oasis, as a reminder that the Bremen Dome was once an important stop on the pilgrimage path to Santiago de Compostella in Spain. Pilgrims travelled from Bremen to Bordeaux and continued their pilgrimage from there.
Not only you can relax and decompress in this idyllic garden; it also houses many exotic plants that tell bible stories.
